It would have to be a pretty massive lie in my opinion for it negate every other aspect of their character. So I’d consider it an exception rather than the rule, but some people think it’s a rule and I’d advice them to reconsider it

-to disappointment. As social creatures of habit it’s easy to fall into a routine or a “script”. It’s more often damaging than not recovering from each of these reality checks especially when nothing changes and you’re stuck in a cycle of disappointment.

Not up or down, just from yes to no. It’s more about de-centering yourself, which is tough obviously because we experience everything through the lens of our identity. We fall into a trap of thinking people around us will mirror our values, experiences, morals, etc. to the T and that deviation leads
