An intermediate pitcher on Nepenthes x splendiana x vogelii. The next will be a full upper with an inflated upper section, but the intermediates are just hilariously slender. Makes the pattern really pop though.

New flower: Pinguicula emarginata x moctezumae, HC C!
Quite similar in appearance to A, which is the only other one to bloom so far, but with slightly larger, and slightly more veined petals.

Biggest pitcher so far on Nepenthes erucoides…though at less than 2 inches it’s still small. Chunky though, and it definitely likes the winter months and akadama soil best.

Pinguicula emarginata x moranensis ‘Huahuapan’ HC D, the darkest violet and veiniest of the four siblings I kept. The flower pales a bit with age but not much.

First full true upper pitcher on Nepenthes platychila, famed for its funnel shaped traps and broad, perfectly smooth, stripey peristome. Last photos of the previous trap shows how much it will darken in the lip.

Lower pitcher with fat cylindrical trap, peristome around the teardrop mouth that flares as it goes up the neck, mottled body and stripes peristome in red and yellow. Upper pitcher, similar color as lowers but much more slender trap.

Newest pitcher on Nepenthes ventricosa x edwardsiana SG. Hourglass shape and red color of vent, but inherited more of the pronounced peristome ribs and teeth of eddy compared to many I’ve seen.

Ovular green leaves with curled edges and red-tinted centers of the rosettes, clustered in a pot of gritty soil Purple flower of the emarginata x moranensis cross, with three slender lower lobes and two slightly thicker shorter upper ones, each purple at the ends with faint darker veins, fading to white at the base but with darker violet edge highlights P. emarginata x rotundiflora “Aramberri” HC D. Tiny rosette of spatulata shaped leaves blushed red near the middle and almost dwarfed by the perlite pieces it sits on.
