These EOs erasing truth and bringing back symbols/remnants of the Lost Cause and Dunning School are about more than monuments and statues. Along with other anti-DEI/segregationist EOs, they are meant to justify anti-Blackness, discrimination, and segregation while dismantling civil rights policies.
