I see that ProPublica has very slightly improved from the time when I got a negative performance review (with threat of termination and no PIP) under the signature of my manager, who did not write it and was unaware of it.
1/4 UPDATE: This week, @propublica.org management informed a third bargaining unit member that they will be placed on a performance improvement plan and denied steward representation at the meeting where it is discussed. Our full statement 👇

2/ Two of our unit members were just informed that they will be placed on Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) in meetings next week, the first step in a disciplinary process that often leads to termination at ProPublica. Management said stewards will not be permitted in those meetings.
