I'm fully confident literary magazines will survive the AI apocalypse. There is no better time to become a creative writer. You already have an inside track because most people have never even heard of these things that can never die. We will be here with the cockroaches and Taco Bell

Being uncomfortable is so important! Identifying why something challenges you and challenging it in turn is what lets you think and create critically.
Now, even in the writing stage, any pain or stress or fear or anxiety or worry can instantly be removed by AI. You’re worried about your writing? Put it in AI. Anxious about if your thoughts are good? Put it in AI. There’s no sitting with existential dread that is so core to making earnest art.

DON'T stop making art. DON'T stop making music. DON'T stop playing instruments. DON'T stop writing. DON'T stop photography. DON'T stop cooking beautiful dishes. DON'T stop designing. DON'T stop being creative.

My favorite part of reading is when a book gets so good you have to set it down, (finger marking the page), and just let your mind be blown for a minute before picking it back up again.

real talk i do think the success of things like amazing digital circus and knights if guinevere (among others) and people just posting their ocs online feels like a sign to me (online at least) that the streets are down to give original work a shot + you just gotta be obsessed and genuine abt it all

when I watched star trek pre-transition, I distinctly remember finding it very cool that both men and women were called sir and thinking to myself "I would like to be called sir." somehow this did not cause me to realize that I should take testosterone.

Last week I discovered Wiggly Paint!! It’s a fun program that makes your art, well wiggle! The limited colour palette also forces you to be super creative, and it’s such a fun way to bring life to your drawings

With lit-mags to my first published print in an anthology in 2025, I’m excited to keep writing in 2026!

What are you proud of in 2025? Feel free to share below :D!

So sad that such a talented man who brought a lot of joy is no longer with us.

Thank you to Rob Reiner for making some lovely films!

I'm 16 pages into the full script for the first issue of an unannounced series, and so far the plot can be summed up with, "They're returning from a cafe with some sandwiches."

I am BRINGING it.

Star Trek: First Contact was released 29 years ago today.

We'll be soon halfway between the film's release and First Contact Day (2063). 😄

#queerprompts My main character Maren followed the rules, so as long as you were looking. When you weren’t, she’d sneak books to read during school time
