Perhaps it’s embracing death by living, even though we’re on the brink— we’re all skeletons in the mirror anyway, and the vultures are nearby too— so why hurry it? The living world has nieces & neighbors & okra & games yet to play—

Hearing Ms Brooks read made me go look again at verbs!

The active verbs are sit, inhale, exhale in l1, then grow l16.
Then there’s Spring in l17

In her voice it is an action verb of sudden movement upwards—

So, spring can be a physical action too, like sit inhale exhale grow—
