Hi Yaroslava from northwest England. I love your enthusiasm for Ukrainian art. My eyes pricked up today seeing a post from bluesky women's art. It told me about Sonia Delaunay, born in Ukraine and moved to France. Last night I was tasting wine, including this Spanish one with a seasonal label ⏬️.

Autumnal walk with fungal treasures and glowing colours. Up and around Arnside Knott by #Morecambe Bay.

I still miss my Twitter friends! I was there a long time and it felt a friendly space, until it didn't. A useful history for the nostalgic among us.

Hi Jim. Those are unusual plants. I've been looking at other pics online of the bog boardwalk you share sometimes. It looks like a fabulous area.

Hi Yaroslava from northwest England. I've just finished #warcoffee while reading a book. Good to see you in what is becoming a familiar bookshop 🥰. Autumn colours continue to emerge here but the old yew trees hang on to their greenery.

My sense of awe continues undiminished.

If you ask me to give one defining aspect of the character of Hooklanders, it would be their refusal to have their sense of awe diminished. They refuse to be disenchanted. Modernity is no barrier to their sense of encroaching otherworlds. Even in suburbia, they maintain wonder. – Dr. M. Benn

Thank you Veronique. What a magnificent building. I have visited many decades ago and have dim memories of how impressed I was.

I’ll end this day (midnight in Kyiv)
with some good news.

A drone attack set fire to russia’s Kirishi oil refinery,
forcing it to shut down its largest unit
– about 40% of total capacity.
Repairs may take a month.

Thank you for sharing this Yaroslava. It is an impressive house but I do prefer small houses 😊. These big houses are always costly to keep in good order and are not always practical to live in these days.

Morning Yaroslava from northwest England. Your post is the first news I've seen today. I'm so sorry to read about such a difficult night from Ukraine and beautiful Lviv 🥰.

Morning Yaroslava from northwest England. I hope the #warcoffee at the service station is okay 🥰. I'm still here, despite the storm and it was much worse in Scotland and Ireland. Climbing autumn fungus ⏬️
