My heart tells me to keep trying to make comics, the reality of never having made ANY AMOUNT of money by making comics kinda stops me, TBH

So, I JUST wanted to read Maximum Carnage in its entirety since we never got part 4 in my country and always wondered how the whole thing ended...

I have now been reminded WHY I never got into superhero comics and instead latched onto manga and indies.

A JOURNEY:

I made this Ike for the first ever Super Smash art jam organized by my man Supercerealoso.
It was pretty darn fun and I still think it's one of my best pieces ever.

Some years ago, a very dear friend of mine that I miss a ton, organized two Smash Bros illustration things where a ton of artists would draw one of the characters from the roster.
On the second year, I chose the almighty Villager <3

This is PROBABLY the very first illustration I ever did "professionally". It was for the label of a local craft beer made with mezcal for a brand called Wasumara.
Unfortunately, I wasn't the one that colored it, rather having an assistant that was not very good at keeping times 🙃

Speaking of Tiamat - I did make an illustration based off of one of their character races!
I don't remember if they used it for anything or if they commissioned me or what the fudge this was used for - but I still dig what I did!
Wish I had planned it better, so it wasn't cut off at the edges, tho.

Way back in 2009 or so, I met this couple that were making a really cool RPG book called Tiamat. They asked me to do a test to see if I could match the style of illustrations they were using for the game so I could be featured in an expansion or something.
Long story short... I wasn't good enough 🥲

This was part of an art trade (remember when I made art trades?) I made with a REALLY good artist I met through friends on Facebook. That man's name is Carlos Ceballos and he is utterly fantastic in how he designs creatures and how he renders stuff.
Hope he makes more stuff soon!

I made this one during a local convention simply because I was bored. That's right! I used to have my own table at local comic conventions!
Then I discovered no one really went to those events for the independent artists and stopped attending.
Maybe things are better now?

I made this thing WAY back in 2010 as a gift for a really good friend of mine.
She looks nothing like the character nor does she have a cat lol
But she did like it!

When I was younger, I thought it'd be fun to make a 20-chapter comic about an emo kid.

It was actually pretty fun.
But I was never able to finish it lol.

This here's the protag, Memo El Emo. I definitely still want to create his story from start to finish so... maybe?

To start things up in this thingie, I'm gonna challenge myself to upload cool art stuff I make at least once every week.
(I'd love to do it daily but, you know, work and life and stuff, lol)
