Why do we wrap newborns? It mimics the feeling they had in the womb, when they were held snugly but could still push out with their arms and legs.

The sun is starting to rise over the Vatnerhorn in Iceland. The photo shows a black volcanic sandy beach in the foreground with tussocks of grass just picked out by the early light. Dominant in the left hand side above the beach is the Vatnerhorn - a rugged dark mountain with a jagged summit, with pockets of snow in its crevices. Below the Vatnerhorn to the right is the sea, milky and smooth through the long camera exposure. Just above the sea in the far distance are a low range of snow-covered mountains, miniscule in comparison to the Vatnerhorn but only because of the distance. The sky is purple, blue, and pink with the early morning sun which is not yet visible, with thin high clouds creating a softened texture.

The view up a stream running over rocks through a woodland glade. There are two small falls in the foreground camera right, three smaller falls in the midground off towards camera left, leading back to one small falls slightly off-centre to camera right in the background. The ground rises up on the banks on each side and both sides are heavily wooded. There's no sky to be seen because the leaf canopy is dense and creates a beautiful green layer, though there is a small breakthrough of light right at the top centre of the frame. A few beams of light have penetrated the canopy and form little glows on the rocks and water. The photograph was taken on a slow shutter speed, so the water has been captured flowing rather than as frozen movement.
