Sorry to confuse, those pics are just of the West side cascades Alpine Lakes. Here are some Pasayten pics from the previous weekend. It's different and special in its own way - big, open, more like the rockies, and higher overall elevations. Do go there! It's filled with golden larches in fall!

I backpacked 57 miles over 6 of the last 9 days. A 3-day trip to WA's Pasayten wilderness last weekend, 3 days home for work n' shit, then a 3-day high route through WA's Alpine Lakes Wilderness. I am feeling refreshed and my adventure bucket is filled for a few days...until next weekend!

Live Aid was 40 years ago this Sunday. I was 15 and remember watching it on MTV back when it showed music. It was an exciting day and history was made. It was a broadly shared cultural event. Good memories! Forty years ago and those performances are still legendary.

We must still occasionally find joy to keep our spirits up. I saw Blondshell last night at the Showbox and took my daughter and her bestie. Such a great show! Been looking forward to this one and they delivered!
