Because you did not ask: the Mr Magee books by Chris Van Dusen are delightful. Something about this pic made me think of them.

That one and the scene in pump up the volume. Holy hell.

RAMONA. Re-read them recently. She is such a hoot. Steals all the good scenes in the Huggins books too, the ones not already stolen by Ribsy.

I was sworn in to public office, come to think of it. There was no book. Just hand raising, afair (as far as I remember)

Anyway. Forgot that part.

Granny Weatherwax is amazing!!!! I need to finish those books. Started with the now 15 year old and then she got busy! Rude. Though reading every night for 15 years is a decent streak. Imo.

I woke at 430 am, after waiting through the midnight dog firework freakout, to a literal puddle in my bed. From one of the freakout dogs. As I was trudging to the basement trying to keep it contained IN THE BEDDING I was trying to decide what this meant for 2026. Probably won’t know for a year.

We mask nearly constantly indoors. The exception is child in high school does have to eat. She got sick recently (not covid. We tested) and while I was waiting to see my fate (never got it) I was like, “at least I won’t pass it on bc I mask”

This was new last fall. The previous one came with the house 18+ years ago and worked fine until the heating element failed. I could have gotten it repaired but the racks were rusting too. The oven, same vintage, has been repaired 2xs and I would do that again.

I have a GE. It was $500. Buttons on the front. Has a 3rd rack for flat things. Takes FOREVER but they all do. Perfectly serviceable. Recommend.

For me it doesn’t have to be a lot. 10 - 20 minutes is good. It is now yoga with whining dogs and sometimes the vacuuming doesn’t get done because that does nothing for my back.

3 hours is a lot. And chronic conditions that need daily management suck. But you have figured a solution. WELL DONE

So I got into daily yoga. Yoga With Adriene. Back thing went away. Skipped some days. Fine. Fast forward: life changes made it more difficult to do the yoga. I still did it on weekends but weekdays went away. Recently that back pain returned. I have restructured my mornings to do the damn yoga

Not nearly as severe as you, but still a thing. A few years back I had a back thing going on. Numbness And soreness right shoulder blade ish. Being a woman, trying to find a medical cause sounded like way more work than I was willing to do AND was likely to fail…

Yes! I haven’t finished yet. I don’t think. They expire in Libby and sometimes I am on to something else when it returns. But, whoa, the drugs. Nikkis Six too. Holy hell. I really did revise my idea of the global supply of opioids after him.
