It was a bit of a shock and disappointment that a brewery in a neighborhood (Bushwick) that is flooded with art and artists, and is known for its own artwork, would use AI. Happy they took quick action, but damn.

Brooklyn’s KCBC posted an AI reel on IG today, swiftly prompting an onslaught of negative comments ranging from basic to brutal.

They deleted the post after about an hour and replaced it with a real life version of the AI video. It noted, “You spoke, we listened ❤️”.

Honored even being considered.

Bummed to see B. Cafe closed back in October. I always thought of it as an important part of the UES beer scene. Even after they got rid of the map at the bar.

First thought when I found this little bastard having breakfast on my chest this morning was, “damn, I haven’t had a Celebration yet.”

If these were still used today, think of how snobby I could be? “What? You put your Vienna Lager in a barrel with Munich pitch?”

Love seeing stories featuring handpumps and trad English style ales dominating the best review category in the 2025 @nagbw.bsky.social awards! Congrats to all winner and publications in all categories.

Researching cask beer in Italy, I noticed countless places around the country using Tübinger mugs for lager and British-style dimple mugs for ale. They don’t seem to have the confusion that we do here in the US. Here’s a pub with a Tüb in Napoli: #italiansdoitbetter

Oktoberfest beers are starting to hit shelves. Who’s excited?

This may be beyond ridiculous, but coming from a culture that doesn’t reg service size for beer, I don’t have a strong opinion on that issue. But, to me, certain glass styles suggest a certain measure. I don’t like a “pint glass” that is not a pint. Esp when it’s made in that new textured style. 🤮

Back when I had hair, ppl used to say I looked like Screech from this show Saved By the Bell. So, now I guess I look like bald Screech. 🤦‍♂️

Been ages since I’ve had this beer.

IMHO, a chop cheese goes on a wedge (or sub, hero, whatever you call it).

Kinda baffles me that ppl still hail Arthur Ave as the real authentic Little Italy in NYC. The Italian population in the neighborhood has been on the decline for decades. Anyone walking around the neighborhood that is paying attention should see there’s a vibrant Albanian community there. 1/2
