Hi Nat. Getting the first job is hard.
1. Make a list of publishers you want to work with.
2. Find out who their managing editors or production editors are. Get contact information.
3. Draft a great query letter.
4. Send emails to intended managing editors or production editors.
6. Don't give up.

I'm always learning how to better help my clients. I'm learning about how to market yourself fom blog posts on marketing. I'm trying to learn about mototcycles and would love to learn how to draw, but don't think that will happen. I'm also always reading and learning how to make sourdough bread.
