While the People have been admirably standing up to a budding tyrant, the elites across every field of American life have truly and uniformly demonstrated themselves to be, in a word, "feckless".
Their decadence is clear and it's hastening America's collapse.

Not only are these geriatrics clueless, but they seem as a class to be almost wholly unequipped by temperament to meet the current moment.
This is 1850!
We need firebrands & fighters roaming the halls of Congress, not limp-twisted & collegial "gentlemen" who lack that we're fighting for liberty!

It's (disgustingly) working for the GOP's racist lies about the 14th Amendment and jus soli citizenship, so very much agreed that we should just mobilize that same feckless opportunism for ourselves.

Because the design of the American party system ensures that the "opposition party" doesn't have an actual leader.
Neither Schumer nor Jeffries are the leader of the Democratic Party, because neither had any designs on the top job.
They're just feckless legislators, empowered to herd their cats.

She, like the rest of the quislings, is not equal to the demands of the political moment.
That's fine, I don't think that many presently in politics are.
Accordingly, she should reign immediately and beg forgiveness for her weakness for the remainder of her days.

Senator, please resign after January 1, 2026, so that the citizens of the Commonwealth can have a senator who will defend democracy instead of one who will cravenly cave to Trump and the GOP's efforts to snuff it out.
You've proven yourself ill-equipped for the current times.

If he's that adamant about hating the best parts of America, then he probably ought to follow his own beliefs and emigrate.
After all, if he's so well-educated, entrepreneurial & just overall great, he should have no problem leaving for somewhere where he can then renounce his American citizenship.

There are still some top performers across the civil service, but it's being increasingly viewed as requiring a vow of poverty if you're going to stay in for any length of time.
Some are still willing to take that vow, though.
