A note for @kaine.senate.gov.
Senator, please resign after January 1, 2026, so that the citizens of the Commonwealth can have a senator who will defend democracy instead of one who will cravenly cave to Trump and the GOP's efforts to snuff it out.
You've proven yourself ill-equipped for the current times.

We're all going to write pieces about what you can learn from tonight but it's actually pretty simple: The frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Part of the "fun" of being a late-Soviet scholar is seeing the many budding similarities between that period and the present.
Accordingly, I can say that it quickly looks like we're approaching a War of Laws.

Nixon’s crimes look like harmless high school pranks compared to the now-daily unprecedented illegal & unconstitutional crimes being committed daily by this president & his staff
Unconstitutionally taking money that the law says must be spent on one purpose & using it for something else—when it's to establish personalist control over the FUCKING MILITARY—is about as dangerous a constitutional crisis/failure as you can imagine

"literally all nonviolent protest” could be considered evidence of rebellion. Is that your argument?

I hope it's clear to everyone now that Trump really is going for it - he's trying to become a dictator. I don't know if he'll succeed, but he's working to install himself as an autocrat unaccountable to voters. And he's weaponizing the military against Americans who oppose him as part of that effort

It is hard to overstate the contempt in which I hold John Roberts. He's the biggest fraud in America.
Trump is trash, but he's obviously trash. John Roberts wants us to think he's a respectable thinker. A legal philosopher. He isn't. He's a partisan hack in a robe.
