I will not hold my breath. In under 1 year the US is no longer a democracy. The main reason, republicans in congress are all bought and paid for pussies.

The US is officially a rogue nation led by a despot unbound by national or international law. Congress joyfully gave away tariffs, how our tax money is spent, and now war. This is on them. They are responsible. We must show them how pissed off we are at their failure to do their jobs. All of them.

Yes, Trump is the January 6th president, not only because of his own actions since that day, but because his coordinated, violent attack on democracy appealed to people who hate the US and its institutions, and because they now staff his administration.

Trump's threat to bomb Iran made something clear to me in a way I hadn't yet formulated: His conception of US military force, like his conception of the federal govt, is now entirely personalized. It is a power to be wielded not on behalf of US interests but on behalf of his personal whims.

Time for this traitor to go
Reading Robers' report, it is clear that he is not really asking for judicial independence. Instead, he wants a free hand to legislate from the bench whatever far-right, anti-democratic policies the Republicans are unable to push through Congress.

Under Roberts, SCOTUS is a branch of the RNC.
Chief Justice John Roberts pushes for judicial independence in history-heavy report | CNN Politics
Chief Justice John Roberts touted the independence of the federal judiciary as a “counter-majoritarian check” and urged Americans rattled by partisan politics to keep faith with the Constitution.

On a day when the Kennedy family is grappling with an unimaginable personal loss, Donald Trump chose to use his platform to launch petty, vindictive attacks against them. Yet another stunning display of cruelty and utter lack of basic human decency.

Give a lifetime contract to the ball boy who made Martinez walk all the way over to him at 2-0 then dropped the ball at his feet.

Even better, Martinez picked up the ball cone and moved it closer for his next goal-kicks, and the ball boy moved it back.

An absolute pasting given to “title challengers” Aston Villa, who deserved everything they got in the second half after an absolutely pathetic display of anti-football in the first half. Glad to see Martinez commit his yearly howler against Arsenal as well after his antics. On to the next!

If you had a proper democracy instead of your broken first-past-the-post system, many of them would not be there in the first place. Also, checks and balances are supposed to be a thing.

My advice: Constitutional reform would be a good place to start after the inevitable fall of the Trump regime.
