Congratulations to all who fought for it and the present and future artists of all sorts in Ireland. That includes me 👌We’re just comin to the end of a 3 year pilot scheme. It’s been a roaring success. For every €1 paid out to the 2000 participants, the government got €1.46 back. Can’t argue with that. Other countries are already taking note."

In all seriousness, publishers are going to have to figure out how to market books in the post-social-media landscape. That should be an implicit part of their job. What authors/artists can do on their own is increasingly limited and siloed.

The phone in my hotel room keeps randomly putting itself on speaker w/ the dial tone and I can’t unplug it. Then remembered you can leave a corded phone off the hook which I think fixed it.

I have the FAINTEST memory of having a corded phone. it served me well tonight.

the bucket mouse trap in the studio worked 😭 bitter sweet victory - I need the mice out of there so I can actually use the space again (it was INFESTED) - but I hate having to kill the local wildlife when I live in the middle of the woods 🥺
