The important clue is when they explain their love for AI and their explanation seems to show only a superficial appreciation of the result of human ingenuity but a genuine love for things like productivity, efficiency, and profitability.

Capitalism is inhumane, not at all designed for human survival but it has been the dominate system for over 150 year. At some point it would be expected to see people who have adapted to this environment and I believe that is what we are seeing.
