Oh I feel like that was a major bone of contention with prime 3 when it came out. Lots of "this is antithetical to the series!!!" Reactions lmao. But I do think the reaction was less angry because the other hunters in 3 are at least kind of cool?

instead of a fanboy the ideal creative director for lucasfilm is someone who doesn’t give a shit about star wars but does care about making good movies and TV

no movie franchise has had as many sendoffs as pre-reboot fox x-men. just get out of here already man

Yeah, I think if you a) add connections between even a given TWO of the areas to each other like in Echoes and b) move the base to Sol Valley so you don't have to constantly do 3 area transitions to get to fury green it alleviates a lot of the feeling of disconnected linearity in this one

...And then on top of that, you have to cross Sol Valley. Usually twice in a pretty short period of time (especially if you're just going back to base to install your new Shots)

I agree that it's kind of an unfair visual comparison, but I think the HUGE difference here is that magmoor has FOUR elevators to other areas. EVERY area in Prime 4 has *one* combination entrance and exit to Sol Valley

This article also cites "I Am...I Said" as something omitted from the movie when they play it in the climactic final performance!! you are crazy!!!

"why doesn't this movie about a neil diamond tribute act focus on neil diamond's jewishness" the hint lies in the actual subject of the movie, I truly hope this helps

this is the best sales pitch for this show I've ever seen because until now I thought it was bad in a middling uninteresting sort of way, not in a fascinating disaster sort of way

I do think it's actually an incredible gag to do this in your comic right after the FOX deal, when there were no specific public plans to incorporate the x-men into the MCU and DEFINITELY no plans a comic writer would ever be privy to. it's FUNNIE

that remake was fucking BRUTAL. and honestly kind of mean spirited? I remember it had a lot Fake Difficulty stemming from "if you try to use the strategies from the original game, we will punish you for it". I still liked it though

HMMMMM...I personally think the VI pixel remaster is still insanely approachable and charming, but if you're looking for something that feels a little more modern, maybe XII? I never played it (someday!) but it's really narrative focused and has cool worldbuilding. Or...the FF tactics remake?

VII I played mostly as a sort of academic experience closely following a guide, so I respect it but don't love it. IX I expected to love and HATED. It feels like a lot of empty gesturing at the "old" final fantasy with little else to care about, and a back third that is a total snore.

XV I have a ton of affection for even though it feels like it's 20% unfinished. I honestly think a lot of the story rocks. III (DS) has a lot of nostalgic appeal to me even though it ends with like 5 insanely hard boss fights and NO save points in between
