We were able to get the first $400 amount immediately due covered on our own yesterday, but we will still need help with other bills that have accumulated. As well as upcoming bills while Dez applies for disability assistance. Everything is getting transfered to his name but he's not able to work.

If we want more people in the trades, we need (among other things) employers to bring back the concept of light work/light duty. And if a young person wants to make a career of it, they need to know exactly what it can mean for their body, and the vulnerabilities they face throughout their career

yep I was focusing on Building Trades but want to acknowledge that light industrial -- like nursing and even teaching -- are just as hard on the body in ways people tend to not think of. tl;dr work sucks

they should offer a paid service at airports where it's just a guy that holds your hand the second you step in the door and guides you around and makes sure you get to the right gate on time. and they rub your back gently and comfortingly if you get yelled at by security for being confused
