Is it time for the government and the media, including yourselves, to start looking deeper at our policies and consider ways forward for our decimated public services?

Like the health sector education is in crisis as a result of chronic underfunding, the societal issues of generational poverty & the huge mental health and developmental issues left by the pandemic. Yet it feels like education has been left to simmer, with Ofsted stirring the pot occasionally.

It breaks my heart to see more language departments closing. We’re closing ourselves off from arts and culture
