Yesterday's Ohio Statehouse visit with no opportunity to meet with legislators, the purpose of the advocacy event, left us feeling alone and unsupported.

Just called Representative Marcy Kaptur's Washington DC office to oppose the budget vote Feb 25 to extend tax cuts to billionaires and cuts to esssential services to Medicaid and Medicare.

Yesterday, President Trump endorsed $880 BILLION in cuts to Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act — breaking his promise.
 
Ohioans rely on these programs for care. Slashing them to fund a $4.5 TRILLION tax break for the billionaire class is a betrayal.
 
I will fight this with everything I’ve got.

1000 workers have been fired from Dept. of Vet Affairs, including veteran Andrew Lennox who was actively serving NW Ohioans at the VA. Andrew served as a marine in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria — he, and the fellow veterans he serves, deserve so much more. The indiscriminate, illegal cuts must stop.

Just called Ohio Senators John Husted and Bernie Moreno to demand the budget bill does not include an extension of Trump's tax cuts for the wealthy; this is not a good use of budget monies. Strongly oppose. Please call your senators today.
