Banning the 🇪🇺 only shows the post #Brexit British insecurity and provincialism.
catiomiles.bsky.social
As we discuss flags and their meaning and values, the 🇪🇺 is banned in the U.K. according to a 2021 Boris Johnson law still in place under Starmer.

But the flag represents everything for people in Ukraine, or Budapest, Romania or Tbilisi. 👇

My interview with BBC News, exposing the scandal of asylum contracts, written under the Tories, which enabled private providers to make 8x more profit by keeping asylum applicants in hotels.

A shocking waste of taxpayer money.

"15 years ago, Polish workers came here to find opportunity. Now Poland is growing twice as fast as we are," says Kemi Badenoch.

Any ideas what may have happened in the interim?

It's properly unconscionable that the Home Office has created this situation. It should never have been allowed to happen and once it did happen it should have been immediately reversed.

Russia is now in a similar position as in 1917.

They were not losing the war to Germany, but their resources were drained.

Unfortunately Putin will not do the Tsar’s mistake to host hundreds of thousands of hungry soldiers outside his Palace.

I'm seeing/hearing more and more of these analyses stating (directly or indirectly) that Russia is now on its way to defeat.

I think the LibDems have plans to tax big profits.

The question here is an open vs a closed society.

The LibDems are for an open society.

Very good analysis 👍

Exceptional journalism still exists in Britain.

Very well done!

And this video shows the danger to ever allow any Tory near any position of power.

So everyone: let’s get rid of all the Tories at the ballot box.

So jobs in these areas are at risk.

The question here is whether issuing visas helps trade and business development for both countries.
catiomiles.bsky.social
Sure.

And my own sector faces competition from India.

India employs more than 15 million people providing IT, accounting and customer services to US, UK and other countries.

Not sure why do we need to blame Indian IT workers for Britain’s lax tax regime.

Secondly, just wanted to clarify that not “all the money went straight to India.”

Thirdly, maybe we needed longer visas with the right to bring family members, etc.

One of Russia’s main supply routes from China has been shut down. From today, the border with Kazakhstan is fully stopped.. over 5,000 trucks are stuck, inspections are ongoing, and goods are being confiscated. Drones, EW gear, batteries, components, nothing is getting through.
catiomiles.bsky.social
Just to clarify: the money paid for accommodation, food, transport, etc, stayed in the U.K., correct?

Also the savings from paying lower rates also stayed in the U.K., correct?

Yes, this was a trick to convince many from the various minority groups to vote for #Brexit , winking to them that immigration from various Commonwealth countries will replace EU citizens.

Sorry, I don’t understand what do you mean that “all the money goes back to India”.

Wilful ignorance of how trade and migration actually work in a globalised economy.

The idea that the (short and long-term) movement of people -especially between India and the UK - has nothing to do with trade and investment is (obviously) wrong.

I don’t agree with this analysis.

The LibDems have in my view the right strategy to hug the center.

If anything, the LibDems should do even more: more pro business messages.

We have an independent judiciary in this country. Robert Jenrick wants puppet judges.

The Conservative Party once believed in the rule of law and our shared British values - no longer.
