Kemi Badenoch ignored the former Conservative voters who believe in the rule of law, protecting our home for future generations and human rights for all our people.

With the help of a snazzy van we made sure people could hear a different message in Manchester today.

My message to the millions of One Nation conservatives who reject the divisive politics of Badenoch and Farage is this:

Come and join us. Help us save our country. Come and win with us.

We have an independent judiciary in this country. Robert Jenrick wants puppet judges.

The Conservative Party once believed in the rule of law and our shared British values - no longer.
Robert Jenrick holds up a judges wig like a puppet during his speech to the Conservative Party Conference.

Two years ago, we watched in horror those appalling scenes of Hamas’s evil terrorist attack on Israel.
“Two years ago, we watched in horror those appalling scenes of Hamas’s evil terrorist attack on Israel. 1,200 innocent people brutally slain, including hundreds of young people at a music festival. Others raped, sexually assaulted and mutilated. 251 people taken hostage, ripped away from their families.
“Those terror attacks also triggered a shocking rise in antisemitism here in the UK – a terrible scourge that took the lives of Adrian Daulby and Melvin Cravitz at their synagogue last week.
“We stand in solidarity with British Jews, the people of Israel and Jewish communities around the world against terrorism and against antisemitism in all its forms.
“This cycle of violence has gone on for far too long, caused far too much suffering and claimed far too many innocent lives.
“With new peace talks under way, we desperately hope that they will finally see the hostages returned home to their families, a lasting bilateral ceasefire, Hamas out of power in Gaza for good." Ed Davey

As Sukkot begins this evening, I know last week's horrendous terrorist attack will be casting a shadow over what should be a time a celebration.

I hope that Jewish families have the opportunity to come together in peace and safety to mark this holiday.

I am horrified by the images of a mosque in Peacehaven burning after a suspected arson attack.

Everyone should be able to worship free from fear and terror.

Islamophobia is totally unacceptable. Those who spread hatred and incite violence against Muslim communities must stop.

Congratulations Dame Sarah Mullally on your appointment as the first female Archbishop of Canterbury. A truly historic moment for our church, our faith and our country.

On this painful morning, my thoughts are with the families of Adrian Daulby and Melvin Cravitz and with the whole Jewish community who have been the target of a vicious attack on their holiest day.
On this painful morning, my thoughts are with the families of Adrian Daulby and Melvin Cravitz – the two men tragically killed outside their synagogue yesterday – and with the whole Jewish community who have been the target of a vicious attack on their holiest day.
Antisemitism, terrorism and hatred can be defeated. But only if we all stand united against them. This attack didn’t happen in a vacuum. Antisemitism is rife on Britain’s streets. British Jews have been living in fear, especially since Hamas’s horrific terror attacks of October 7th.
That must end now. We all must come together to make sure our Jewish friends and neighbours feel safe walking on their streets and worshipping at their synagogues.
Those who preach antisemitic hatred, those who incite violence against Jews – whether online, on marches or anywhere else – must be stopped. It is never acceptable.
I know that, together, we can make sure that our British values of decency, tolerance and respect will prevail.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims, and to all the Jewish community in our country.

"This terrorist outrage is an attack on all of us. And we should stand in solidarity with our Jewish friends, and make it clear that violence is unacceptable." @eddavey.libdems.org.uk

Horrified and appalled by the attack outside Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.

My thoughts are with the victims, our brave emergency services and the entire Jewish community.

G’mar Chatima Tova.

I want to wish Jewish communities in the UK and around the world a blessed and meaningful Yom Kippur.

I've written to Keir Starmer, urging him to apply more pressure on Hamas to get them to agree to a ceasefire.

With the renewed hope of this latest peace proposal, we cannot allow Hamas to block the peace, dignity and security which both Israelis and Palestinians deserve.

With Labour failing to deliver and the Conservatives in freefall, it falls to us to take on Reform and stand up for British values of decency, tolerance and the rule of law.

I am so proud of our whole team of 72 Liberal Democrat MPs - working tirelessly to deliver real change and stand up for our communities.

Today I've expanded our frontbench team to take the fight to Nigel Farage and stop him turning Britain into a version of Trump’s America.

I'm glad Keir Starmer is finally stepping up the fight against Nigel Farage, and I hope this will mark the end of his government parroting Farage and copying his divisive politics.

MPs must have the chance to scrutinise whether the former Prime Minister is the right person to help secure these goals.

Tony Blair needs to come before Parliament and give evidence about his role in Trump’s Gaza peace plan.

We all want to see an end to the suffering in Gaza, the hostages brought home and a lasting peace.
eddavey.libdems.org.uk
Doing Putin’s bidding? That is Trump’s America, don’t let it become Farage’s Britain.

We need a new inquiry by the Intelligence and Security Committee into Reform and Farage's links to Russia.

This afternoon, Donald Trump has the power to end the human suffering and horrors in Gaza.

Before Trump's meeting with Netanyahu, Keir Starmer needs to pick up the phone to the President - and get him to act.

Congratulations to the Red Roses. World champions! Couldn’t be prouder of this team. 🌹🏆

Good luck to the Red Roses in today’s World Cup Final. Time to make history! 🌹

Keir Starmer wants to force everyone to have a digital ID.

But the Liberal Democrats say that’s not the kind of country we should be. Instead, the government should focus on fixing real problems like the NHS and social care.

Ming Campbell was a dedicated public servant and a true Liberal giant.

His principled leadership opposing the Iraq War was a mark of his morality, courage and wisdom.

But more than that, he was an incredibly warm and caring friend and colleague.

We will miss him terribly.

Last day of Conference. That's stumps 🏏

Hard to put into words how proud I am of this party. Everyone put in their all and it showed from start to finish. Thank you Bournemouth, and thank you to everyone who made it happen.
