Northern Californian. Loves books, art, history, London & Donegal, wool tweed, baseball (Giants), the Sierra & Pacific, strong black tea, and pussycats. Seeks social justice and spiritual enlightenment.
He was very handsome in his prime, but I dearly love the older, wiser, even more handsome and distinguished visage of his later years. His fine character was clearly shining through. I will never forget him.

Well said, Madame.

He is no longer struggling and for that I'm grateful but I will miss him so much, as we all will.

I think of him every day and send out many prayers for both of you.

The handsomest, but also wise and kind and brave and charming. We will not see another quite like him.

I prefer to think we lost her birth certiificate rather than saying the number out loud. She and I are both getting old. Unlike me, she can still run around like a lunatic when the mood strikes her. She's generally slower now, but doing well.

You understood him perfectly, Dave. I'll miss your astute and admiring interactions.

Carol! We'd do anything for you.

Here's a more recent photo.

Good point. I was thinking about the safety of my cat.

I have no suggestions but I hope you figure it out. I would love to have a black bear in my yard and I would also not love to have a black bear in my yard. I have encountered them in the wild and they are splendid and daunting.

About Jackson Browne -- yes, I worship the ground he walks on. He's another guy I have seen countless times in Santa Cruz, and probably every gig has been a benefit.

The best thing about this current aurora borealis frenzy is, as with all aurora frenzies, it's got me singing POCAHONTAS.
"Aurora Borealis
The icy sky at night
Paddles cut the water
In a long and hurried flight"

They played in Santa Cruz many times, often unofficially so. Neil Young lived up the coast a bit, for a while, and he'd do a gig and one or more of the other guys would just show up. Great days! And my brother and I also played the heck out of this album, and many more.

She was younger then. Now she's smaller, and slower, and cannot jump as high, and sleeps more, but she's my baby girl.

Here's my little ginger girl, Mugs.

No no no! I love him so mush.

He has been my absolute favorite of all my online cat friends. I love him so much. My heart is well and truly broken.

Love those guys. They brought me back to life in 1989 when they did a benefit concert in Santa Cruz after the Loma Prieta earthquake changed our town forever. They did two shows which sold out immediately by word of mouth. So lucky I got to go.

Beautiful Nevada City, California, north of Sacramento in the Sierra Foothills.

I'd rather trade Devers and keep Eldridge.
