Just rewatched The Dish. I absolutely love this film. Wholesome, heartwarming and stays just the right side of being too sentimental.
Some lovely humour, great characters, tension and a fabulous 60s soundtrack that doesn’t go for the big bangers.

Had a small NHS procedure today, including my first general anaesthetic which (🤞 ) seemed to go well and CANNOT FAULT all involved who provided an exemplary service. Excellent. #NHS.

If you want to finally prove to yourself you’re DEFINITELY not as quick on the ball as you used to be get a child (ideally one you know!) to have you play a level 10 level of Geometry Dash. My brain cannot remotely cope!

About an hour to go before my first ever IMAX showing at the cinema. And what have we chosen but a little 45 year old film called The Shining! Cant wait. With the exception of one scene (which I dislike - old dear in room if you want to know) it’s one of my faves! Colour me excited!
Just watched Wake Up Dead Man. I want to like these more than I do but just can’t put my finger on why they fall a little flat for me. Also, and a while since I’ve seen the previous ones, but Craig seems to have toned down the character (arguably for the worse) a lot. Better when more hammy. 6/10.

Just watched Wake Up Dead Man. I want to like these more than I do but just can’t put my finger on why they fall a little flat for me. Also, and a while since I’ve seen the previous ones, but Craig seems to have toned down the character (arguably for the worse) a lot. Better when more hammy. 6/10.

Recently introduced my daughter to Buffy and she’s loving it. Wife, her and me put on a ‘quick’ episode last night and rinsed last 4 of season 2. S2 and 3 really are, in my view, Buffy on its A game. It’s all great on the whole (s4 ahem) and great to see one of mr fave shows holds up so well.
#podcasts #buffy can anyone recommend a good Buffy podcast for me and my daughter? Ideally want per episode review and ideally don’t want hosts banging on about what they’ve been up to recently and their new fave flavour of Mountain Dew (that sort of capering really bugs me). Thanks in advance.

Enjoyed #insideno9 live #stagefright last night. Not at the top of their game but an enjoyable evening and some good gags and moments. Potentially doing the gents a little disservice here as I seem to struggle with live comedy so may be an element of that.

Enjoyed #insideno9 live #stagefright last night. Not at the top of their game but an enjoyable evening and some good gags and moments. Potentially doing the gents a little disservice here as I seem to struggle with live comedy so may be an element of that.
On a random note - I’m currently listening to Secret History of Twin Peaks on audio book. Loved reading it and was little worried how it would translate given the scrapbook nature of the text would translate to audio but it’s REALLY good. I love all the extra colour it brings and good performances.

Watching some #insideno9 eps I previously missed out on. No idea why I’ve not seen more as I love most I’ve seen and a massive LoG fan. Going to see the live show of No 9 at the weekend so getting myself in the mood. S’smith and Pemberton really are a talented pair.

Watching some #insideno9 eps I previously missed out on. No idea why I’ve not seen more as I love most I’ve seen and a massive LoG fan. Going to see the live show of No 9 at the weekend so getting myself in the mood. S’smith and Pemberton really are a talented pair.
I’m only about 4 eps in and can’t quite put my finger on why but #itwelcometoderry is incredibly dull. I’m a big fan of horror and most things King (liked the OG miniseries and remakes were ok) but this is a painful watch. I’ll stick with it as can’t get worse but it’s a chore.

Rewatched Millers Crossing this evening and while it’s a bit style over substance what style!! Coen bros third best film in my view. And biggest surprise? I’ve seen it many times before and don’t think I’ve ever clocked the Frances McDormand cameo!

Rewatched Millers Crossing this evening and while it’s a bit style over substance what style!! Coen bros third best film in my view. And biggest surprise? I’ve seen it many times before and don’t think I’ve ever clocked the Frances McDormand cameo!
More daddy / daughter co-op on #Astrobot and just when I thought it couldn’t get any more cute and nostalgic we rescued a certain horned bot boy and elfin spirit girl and my heart filled with a warm fuzzy feeling. IYKYK. ❤️

I hardly ever watch Black Mirror (don’t know why as I enjoy it when I do) but have a friend who nags me occasionally to watch certain eps. Latest one of these was Demon 79. Excellent episode with a great premise and cracking soundtrack. Horror fans will especially enjoy it. Recommended!

I hardly ever watch Black Mirror (don’t know why as I enjoy it when I do) but have a friend who nags me occasionally to watch certain eps. Latest one of these was Demon 79. Excellent episode with a great premise and cracking soundtrack. Horror fans will especially enjoy it. Recommended!
