Likes gaming, TV (esp Twin Peaks), films (inc horror) and interacting with decent (not hate-filled) folk. It’s been 12 months plus since I’ve been to the ‘other’ place and proud of that. Based in UK if anyone’s cares.
Two words that make this film majestic. Wint and Kidd! 😂😂😂😂😂

My kids and my fave moment from Home Alone 2 (which is stuffed with many classic moments). Arguably Marc’s best scream of the two films. A similar gag used, to equally great effect, in Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

I need to watch BT trilogy. Loved Hard Boiled since I was young and recent rewatch didn’t disappoint. However also rewatched The Killer and I felt it didn’t hold up for me. Woo paved the way though for many action films and he should be continually applauded for it.

Hard Boiled and / or The Killer? 👍

Off to the elves for some healing for them. Take care!

Absolutely brilliant film and if you can get past the unusual style the slice book is written in that’s a great read too. As other person commented Bowie is fab. A perfect character for his offbeat eccentricity. Nolan’s best film in my view (aware this is a hot take).

Hi. Do I need a Guardian account for this / is it behind a paywall? Thanks.

And we’ll not even mention the 2009 version that wasn’t fit to shine Arfur’s shoes. Stick to the Daz doorstep challenge Shane! 😀

This is a 100% me! Man Bites Dog was my bag at late teens but now (mid to late 40s) I tend to steer clear of stuff that’ll make me feel like sh1t after. Like my horror fun and silly these days though I’ll take the occasional tough watch if the quality is good. Also not enough time available.

That’s a COVER! Very fondly recall my dear old Gran introducing me to Arfur and Terry back in the day and us watching them together. Excellent characters / show. And if I may be so controversial the reboot with his nephew Ray (and stil George Cole) was perfectly enjoyable too.

Starve Acre is of interest to me. Read the book and while not a classic I enjoyed it and interesting story but my BFI has run out so it continues to elude me. One of these days I’ll see it! 🐰

Great stuff thanks. I love The Borderlands (hugely underrated film in my view) and I’ll devour any additional lore I can get my hands on.

I wasn’t aware of it at all until you mentioned it. Seems the marketing dept suffered a stake to the heart on this one!
