Another dog walk bonus.
I’ve long wanted to find one of these. It’s an ear pick fungus, #auriscalpiumvulgare that grows on pine cones. In looks a lot bigger in the photo than it actually is, about 1cm tall with the cap about half a cm wide. #ukfungi #pineconefungi

Fantastic autumn sun through the trees this morning. Looks more like spring with the bright greens.

Now I know why they are called oak apples. Only ever seen the dark brown, woody remains in winter before.

These are the two I've been using lately. I was also recommended Lana cartridge paper by the person who taught me about charcoal but have only found that available as a huge roll.
