There are things we can do to push back:
➡️ Start with using the Fediverse or ATmosphere instead X, Meta and Co.
➡️ Appreciate the importance of independent journalism, and start supporting it financially.
➡️ Hold tech companies to account, using all the democratic and regulatory tools available to us.

A fusion that no longer targets our attention only, but is moving towards an intimacy economy where it is getting harder and harder to form opinions without interference. #IntimacyEconomy #BigTech

My panel was refreshingly clear in its support for enforcing EU regulations vis-a-vis the volatile environment the current “deregulation” agenda is creating.
We also talked about the growing influence of right-extreme voices on social media.

I emphasised three points:
