The Sherman was quite iterative, additional armour patches over the ammo stowage, followed by wet storage reduced a lot of the instances of ammunition fires. Good hatches that allowed easy escape lead to more crewman survived a burning Sherman which lead to a degree of survivorship bias.

I think it was GURPS where I first read that bodkin points are for *range*, not armour piercing as is commonly believed.

This has been a talking point since I started 40k back in 4th edition, the slide away from satire has been a long and consistent one. Individual authors do a better job with it (Oliver Brooks, Sandy Mitchell) but most don't nowadays IMO.

Unfurnished flats almost always include appliances in the UK. Maybe not larger family homes but they'd be expected to include appliances in a 1-3 bedroom flat unless things have *dramatically* changed in the 10 years I've been gone.

I had a similar experience recently staying at a Marriott in Miami that had signs proudly announcing they were now serving... Costa Coffee.

We sometimes joke that Canada seems polite because they send all their rudest people to foreign countries, because there are some truly awful ones here in the Caribbean too
