My (now departed) very enthusiastic but limited hunter once woke me up in the middle of the night by gifting me a live mouse *on the bed.* The look of baffled betrayal when I did not accept her generosity haunts me to this day. (The mouse escaped while my sleepy brain processed the situation.)

So a few things start to happen. First and foremost the presidency is no longer worthy of respect and deference. In the Republican mind, any role that can be inhabited by a person who’s not a white man is not an important role. (Unless that person is entirely subjugated. See Clarence Thomas)

My experience as well! Usually I could get vaccine appointments same day (even same hour) online, now it's multiple days wait
