Yes a threat to academic freedom, but a greater threat to learning about the real world. Their fear that students might learn something that doesn’t conform with their beliefs is so great. They fear their indoctrination isn’t strong enough to handle facts and different perspectives.

I wish I could've seen Van Halen back in the day. I did get to see DLR on his Eat 'Em and Smile Tour and it was pretty great. Would love to see one of these shows. You know it will be entertaining.

I don't disagree that we should do consulting. I certainly do, but it is odd that teaching doesn't seem to qualify as societal impact to the authors. Like imparting knowledge and teaching students to think critically doesn't impact society for the better?

Reading it now and loving it. There is one chapter about 2/3 in that just about broke my heart. Great story from a perspective that is so rare and important. Thanks.
