It's hard to say how things will play out over the next few decades, whether in this bizarre industry, or the political upheavals of any of our countries, or just life in general. All you can really control is the work, and I for one would like to leave behind a big pile of it

My favourite is a Caran d’Ache Ecridor because it was a gift!

For everyday use? Lamy Safari or Pilot Metropolitan.

Also enjoyed:

- writing the first draft of a new novel

- supporting other writer-friends online and in-person

Honestly, it’s all been great.

A huge thank you to my friends and family for making it so much fun. 🤩

Looking forward to forward to 2026.

I became published for the very first time - a novel and a short story. Very proud of this.

I use a medium nib and Lamy ink in cartridges. It lives in a pocket in my bag and is very reliable and nicely juicy. I have some fun fancier pens to fill up and use at home but I worry about losing them if I take them on the road.

My drafting is on computer but everything else is by hand in notebooks - outlining, brainstorming, quick lines I want to remember. To do lists.

I carry a notebook with me most days along with a Lamy Safari fountain pen with cartridges and find it’s very reliable.

Whoever says you can’t buy happiness has never purchased a fountain pen.
