History is more than just a person’s name or an event, it is a signifier of the zeitgeist, lives of peoples, the realities faced, the movement of culture, and ideas blooming and dying. Erasure of history is minimizing and denigrating contributions with the intent of following with demonization.
Trump removed Medgar Evers, a fearless veteran and civil rights leader, from an Arlington Cemetery website commemorating Black soldiers.

Now the Pentagon may strip his name from a naval vessel.

This isn’t about “military preparedness.” This is about erasing history.

Hakeem Jeffries ought to be causing high holy hell over this.

She is indicted because she is Black.

Half of the GOP caucus engaged in sedition and Garland felt arresting a member of congress went too far.

It started with erasing our histories. Now, legal recourse against racism is taken away. For those thinking it’s only the black and brown people who will be diminished, they will come for you also. Stand together or become oppressed together, before it’s too late.
They are segregationist and this will be open season for discrimination.

This action of our government is plain wrong. There is a human cost to our domestic policy. There is also a moral cost which we have to bear. Our word counts for nothing. Anyone else feeling gravity pull us down a slippery slope of no return?
