PSA: My teenage son caught that the word in my poem "f*g", which I meant as "fucking", could easily be interpreted as a slur against gay men.😳🤦‍♀️🤮

Please. If you ever notice something like this in anyone's poem, politely point out that it is not OK.

Here is the updated version.

I know I'm at least a week behind, but I haven't had the space to work this idea out until this morning here!

This one I will name, for it is the often under-appreciated Song of Silence.

I tried, at first, to name for you
The voice of every waterfall.
But found none that would suffice –
You must hear, yourself, each call.

From a hike I was able to do this autumn, plus a winter one from a few years ago.

I thought it was a month prompt.🤦‍♀️

How much easier would it be
With a fine line, that all could see
Between right and wrong, night and day
Yet, though we call this region "shades of grey"
It is not so lifeless, but is all the hues
Of evocative, deep, indigo blues

Here is a beautiful #haiku art installation about Métis culture from a local winter festival.

"Les marionnettes:
un conte en haïkus

Sous le ciel du nord
les camarades tapent du pied
au chant des étoiles"

By: Katrine Deniset
Installation: Kevin Green

Since parts 2&3 of the poem don't transfer in the quoted post, here they are in a photo. Permission pending.

I've not much to offer -
A black booted figure
Not much of a dancer,
At best, I'm a jigger

But I listen and learn,
Only playfully mock,
For life holds me down too.
So then, I sky-walk

Not the best snow conditions, but since other conditions were favourable, here is a fresh snow angel for you!
