Also it's a huge ego boost when a kiddo loves you so much you get programmed into their AAC device 💅💅💅

I would walk on glass for these folks and I use my aggressive but growth based drive to push for more fair policies for both clients & staff, & ensuring everyone has and utilizes access to the education and materials they need to properly support and provide services to clients and their families.

Ahh! We're practicing assent-based play ABA therapy for kiddos with ASD! Also OT, speech and feeding therapy 🫶🫶 it's so fun getting to play with the kids for like a bathroom break for one of the behavior technicians (its 1:1 therapy). Kids are with us betwn 10-40 hrs/wk! You really get to know them.

LOL! Idk what's the last thing you remember me doing? I'm the operations manager for a pediatric behavioral healthcare facility. It's very school-like but with a medical purpose. (I'm not clinical nor work directly with kids in my role, but proudly support a team clinicians I supervise as well)

Yes 😆😆 I def know what you mean.... Ppl are always extremely in their own corner so to speak and in my experience people's lifetime of social experience establishes their "definition". My boundaries and ability to navigate communication styles has expanded over time as ive experienced growth myself!

There has got to at least be a middle ground no one is perfect but if we can just be respectful and try to meet each other half way... I know this requires flexibility/change which ppl typically hate 🫠🫠but I see it as an obligation to the social contract I wish to benefit from
