What coincidence to see this signal on the way back from meeting with @cyclinguk.bsky.social and others at an inclusive cycling round table event in London yesterday.

Living the dream. Waiting for my physio appt, sitting on the curb of a business park in the sun eating the pressure my mum brought back from her last trip?

Train quite busy so decided not to fight my way to my booked seat as it was a pretty long way from my bike......think I'm now a 'large bag'

Strap provided to secure bike does up on the far side, needing you to dislocate your own arm and try to tread and tighten it in a gloomy corner behind your wheel. Felt slimy. 0/10 experience

Thankfully this is the end of the line for the next train so it was waiting for me. No info about where cycle carriage is, no visual clues on outside of train either. No other cycles onboard, very fiddly to hang and handlebars a smidge wide to get into space. Nice person offered help.

First bit of journey easy as cycles allowed without booking on this bit of the journey.

As a confident cyclist and experienced train traveller it's interesting that I rarely brave taking a fullsize bike on a train (where bookings required). Here goes ...

First proper leisure ride on the new bike today. Started getting peckish around the time I passed a brown sign for a cafe on a farm and now at the most peaceful location an excellent panini.
I love exploring by bike❤️🚲

Great to meet the eco-council at The Heights, Caversham today and be interviewed alongside colleagues Mark and Hamish about bike buses. This was after an epic ride to school with their amazing #bikebus, celebrating their first birthday! We even had a dog come on the bike bus with us.

Friday didn't include as much outdoor exercise (or exercise!) as I'd like because cycling in freezing fog and the dark isn't a great giggle but I did make a lap of Mill Pond, making friends with the goldcrests!
