I started with school libraries (MLIS/SLMS), and I wish I had known how very siloed public library work is. In schools, the librarian is kinda separate from other Ts, but public library tech svcs/outreach/bldg staff don’t interact much AT ALL. It limits opportunities to grow, IMO.
