Maybe Adrienne Smith? (The Ontario one, not the Vancouver one.)

Genre ça se comprend quand deux lignes s'intersectent comme ça et qu'une ligne est construite après l'autre...

Peut-être je suis biaisée.

Jean-Talon is bad but Spadina feels like it was intentionally made to be as shitty as possible (hence the example!)

(Oh pis aussi Berri c'est un cauchemar mais au moins il y a des escaliers roulants pis d'autres mesures ajoutant à la rapidité des transferts)

It’s probably country-dependent on this end. In Canada there’s been a few humanitarian and compassionate permanent residency cases and PRRA JRs (pre-removal risk assessment judicial reviews) that were successful for trans Americans who do not want to go back. No successful refugee claims yet though.

Absolutely. In comparison Canada’s absolute numbers are much bigger (~700 vs ~200), and even though we won’t know how many trans folks have emigrated from the U.S. for the foreseeable future, those numbers will certainly be way higher (in the 10,000s at least).

And they’ll probably get away with a slap-on-the-wrist $1,000 fine.

When half of the asylum seekers from a given country are trans… it’s time that policy-makers ask themselves a few questions.

At this rate, this is making me consider an emigration strategy — so that in case the far right takes over Canada, trumpifies the country, and there’s no hope in staying, I can flee.
