The Witch Head Nebula is a large, faint reflection nebula that haunts the night skies about 900 light-years from Earth. Some people say they see Abe Lincoln 🤔. I bagged this witch (or Abe if you prefer) about two years ago from my backyard in central Virginia.

A clear couple of hours, so a single deep exposure on NGC 7822 with the Celestron Origin 🔭.
I was not disappointed: the hot young stars forming here are carving beautiful structures into the gas cloud with their stellar winds and intense radiation, as well as illuminating it.
