So grateful to the community that sustains PLRC’s pathbreaking work on Long Covid and related conditions like ME/CFS. Living with an illness that has zero FDA-approved treatments, the first-class research PLRC leads is such a source of hope to me.

The disability benefits cuts. Just absolutely unconscionable. PIP is there to deal with the extra costs of being disabled - and in some cases actually helps people stay in work! It is actually very hard to get now (I have heard horror stories) so making it even harder is cruelty.

DHSC published its response to the consultation on its interim Plan for ME this morning.
A lot has happened since that consultation ended (October 2023), especially the growing numbers of pw #LongCovid whose presentations meet UK ME/cfs diagnostic criteria.
