This predates the Ecce Homo of Borja by many years, so now I’m wondering if depicting gods as black-eyed human-monkey hybrids with a mane around their faces is a Celtiberian thing.

However, Coromines mentions a ‘todavia’ from the Libro de Apolonio – a 14thC Aragonese copy of a probably Spanish 13thC poem – that could have already meant “still”, and La Crusca indexes the meaning “still” along with an “at the same time” definition registered also since the 13thC.

Let’s agree that 2025 is far from being in our Top 10 Years so far, shall we?
But I’m a creep, I’m a weirdo (etc etc), and it wasn’t on my bingo card that, by sharing whatever is on my mind, I would be getting friends instead of more alienation. So… it wasn’t that bad (for me).

Correction: a study has proved that they did eat meat raw, that some of them were eaten by dogs, but they *did not* eat their dogs raw – according to the director of the Museum of Zaragoza who just happens to be from Borja and we should totally trust him about his *cough dog-eating cough* ancestors.
