"You have practised the past participle, sung songs, prayed in Welsh, and even sat your Welsh exams. And now, you've left school with, let's say, an intermediate level of proficiency in the language. So is the experience of many school leavers in Wales.

At our AGM, we elected a new committee to run the Association for the upcoming year and selected a host institution for next year's conference.

We are delighted to announce that the 2026 Celtic Students Conference will take place in Trinity College Dublin in Ireland!

What an incredible time at this year's @celticstudents.bsky.social conference! Looking forward to seeing it come to Trinity next year. In the mean time, enjoy these photos from Aberystwyth, including an amazing sea view and an incredible gig from Welsh and Breton bands Sachasky and Plouz and Foen!

First academic conference done - two more to go 😬😬

Had a blast at #CelticStudentsConference2025 in #Aberystwyth. Really cool talks in #Cymraeg, #Gàidhlig, #Gaeilge and #Brezhoneg (and English, obvs).

Better pull my finger out before #Dublin next year... 🍷🇮🇪

Diolch @celticstudents.bsky.social !

Back from another wonderful @celticstudents.bsky.social conference! As ever in awe of the wonderful people who put in so much work to make sure it runs smoothly. Lovely to see friends old and new, pick up ideas and projects, and visit Aber!

It’s a hard life being an academic but someone’s got to…

We also strongly encourage you to consider putting your own institution forward to host our next conference in 2026. The Celtic Students Conference is renowned internationally and is unique among student conferences in terms of its scope and reach.

GET INVOLVED!
We will elect a new committee at the AGM at the end of the conference. This election is very important, as without students volunteering their time, the Association and the Celtic Students Conference would not exist. We really appreciate any contribution!
