Ain't easy being a Lamplighter in the Yokai infested streets of Yokohama... #gamedev #screenshotsaturday #indiedev

Today's work on Yokohama Nights has been mostly camera shenanigans and hit reaction stuff. Happy with how things are beginning to shape :3 #indiedev #gamedev #screenshotsaturday

Did you know Yokohama was the first Japanese city with street gas-powered lamps? Yokai hunters value these resources and act cautious when darkness reigns #gamedev #indiedev #screenshotsaturday

Added a Character Trail and I think is looking 🔥 (might be biassed lol). Thanks to @croasan.bsky.social for the tip ❤️‍🙇 #indiedev #gamedev

Some classy bridge action 😌 (ignore the fact that everything is a WIP skeleton and I cut the top half of the screen lol) #indiedev #gamedev

Whiteboxing + some camera work for Yokohama Nights! this is beginning to look like a game (hopefully 🥲) #indiedev #Gamedev #screenshotsaturday

Was feeling a bit rusty so I decided to prototype a new enemy for Yokohama Nights. Nothing super fancy but it gets the job done😌

A bit more work on Yokohama Nights: camera now follows and properly adjusts FOV when needed + beheading visual feedback polish. Back to Expedition 33 it is (~˘▾˘)~ #screenshotsaturday #gamedev #indiedev

Some camera work on Yokohama Nights; wanted to achieve something similar to classic Onimusha games. I'm happy with the results tho! #indiedev #gamedev #screenshotsaturday

Executing a beheading attack with proper timing may trigger a White Flash version, removing its energy cost #indiedev #gamedev

Keep moving, keep breathing. You are justice's blade; go for the head. #indiedev #gamedev (late) #screenshotsaturday

You can also chain several special dashes in order to behead demons. #indiedev #gamedev #screenshotsaturday

I needed a change of gears so I have started a new project; a a small game inspired by Onimusha, Raidou Kuzunoha and Kimetsu no Yaiba. Meet Yokohama Nights (everything is mega WIP btw).

Let's begin 2025 properly: going back to UI-hell. Almost getting there with the Skills menu... (~‾▿‾)~
January 2, 2025 at 11:44 AM
This is now working and I am, once again, very happy to have survived UI-hell. Please, ignore the player moving in the background, this is still very WIP (unfortunately 🥲)
December 21, 2024 at 11:38 AM
After spending an unknown amount of time in UI-hell, I can finally say that I am pretty happy with how the Combo meter has turned out. Also: I have lost several years of life.
December 9, 2024 at 8:06 PM
Finally, the best mechanic in the game has now been implemented: rolling through small destructibles actually breaks them. Jokes aside, it feels pretty good.
