Like, I've worked a till. I know what a bind it puts you in to give one idiot all your change at 8:15 in the morning. But every time I ask about it I get disproportionate praise, and I'm just like...is this not something people *do*?
I mean clearly it's not, but, y'know?!?! :)

The degree to which cafe workers are grateful for this extremely minor consideration is way out of proportion to my effort, you know? It doesn't happen that I've only got a €50 very often anyway, & sometimes they can break it & sometimes they can't, but either way they're SO grateful I asked.
