Happy birthday to Traditional Country Music Hall of Famer and Manchester, Tennessee native Roy Harper (1925-2021)!

We have an entire collection devoted to Harper's life and work featuring newspaper clippings, letters, photographs, materials from festivals, a scrapbook, lyrics, and setlists.

We've got a new CD Staff pick this week! It's Boyz II Men's 1991 debut album Cooleyhighharmony from our assistant director, Rachel.
Split into "Adagio" and "Allegro" sections, Cooleyhighharmony features a good blend of slow jams and dance floor fillers, including the hit single "Motownphilly".

Our graduate assistant, Jon, is hard at work installing his reading room exhibit about Nashville record labels of the 1940s and 1950s, such as Excello Records.

His exhibit will feature a variety of formats, including 45s, reel to reel tape, sheet music, press clippings and more!
