It is SO STRANGE. I've never been able to decide if I really like it exactly, but it's unique; really skillfully done.

For sure. But in this case these people on Nextdoor are (something) enough that they would still deny the ubiquitous white supremacy and racism, despite (gestures all around).

people want ‘the evil personality’ to be complex and interesting, but the truth of evil is that it is an absence, a lack, a void (arendt, augustine). one can’t really understand “nothing”—but one would hope people would have the sense at least to recoil from it
