This problem sort of solved itself? The night before, one of our neighbors got stabbed by a family member. Police swarmed our street. I was terrified. We were up late, and we had to miss the protest because it was a morning thing.

I found out because my husband told me about it. We drove out to take a picture, but someone had already taken the sign down. 🥲

Part of me wishes we hadn't tried yet, but realistically I'd probably feel guilty about that route. And who knows, maybe all this learning ahead of time will work out and Zelda will be able to tell us when she IS ready because she knows all about it now...
