The sticks are blooming and it's so pretty

Combined hobbies tonight and made some burnishing tools out of porcelain to use to finish my wooden spoons without sanding!

Spent the morning starting the process to turn this lot into a massive community garden that'll feed so. many. people. I wish I got an after shot but I'll be back. Physical work kept my mind off the shit storm that is... everything else.

Took a break from throwing today and hand built some bowls! Laguna's dark brown clay is so satisfying to work with even though sometimes it looks like 💩

I went to Italy in the fall to learn about wood firing in a train kiln and fell in love with the process. This piece has no glaze, all the color came from the wood ash and atmosphere of the kiln.

Anyone know where I can do more a little closer to home (DFW)? #woodfired #pottery
