the gunner/construct alch crossclass doesn't even get hydra (the only construct alch skill worth using in a fight). the medicine/battle alch gets hydra. and *that* doesn't scale off hydra rank either, it scales off *flame burst.*

First impressions: the lineup probably looks something like 2 add clear, 1 boss killer, 1 runner.

Add clears probably heavy armour maxigun+supply/hmg blowjob bros w/ cheap orbitals/turrets; boss killer probably runs EAT spam; runner gets panic buttons (turrets, bubble, smoke, laser?)

you know what else feels bad? finding the blueprints/parts you needed, grinding until you get all three, grinding the materials to craft them, and watching a fucking Farmville timer in current year say "you can't play with this from anywhere from one day to a full week"

granted, I wasn't even a highschooler yet, I was sleeping before 12am, and I played other games. but I had to go look at the wiki to figure out how to get *serration,* the basic rifle damage mod. it hadn't dropped for me while I was doing starmap, and probably got me stuck until I found it.

The point where it's a wiki game is also very early: newer players don't have this problem as much since they get like a bad starter serration and stuff, but I did not have serration *at all* for maybe a month back in the day. the game tells you where to get crafting resources and little else.

This is further compounded by:

- many weapons are bad, and have/will never be buffed from worthlessness
- reaching max level on each unique weapon and warframe increases your account level. This is required for story progression

= you *have* to use shit weapons to unlock new content and abilities

They don't give you enough free potatoes to try. You don't even start with enough arsenal slots to justify keeping bad maxed weapons around. This means you are extremely limited in experimentation, AND you have to start playing with the market and/or your credit card absurdly early.

the helbrute and the Monster That Shall Not Be Named both have a tendency to hit you with the Elden Ring Special and while that's irritating I'm coping by saying that's actually in character for tzeentch

They *did* unlaunch splitgate 2 for reasons related to how gameplay/progression kinda sucked but frankly "maga halo" is gonna stain that series forever
